The Powers Of Knowing Your Social Media Tools

Word of mouth is not enough, but word of mouse is’’
Honestly, I have a lot of questions about this so-called Ebola virus

Is it not amazing though?  With just one touch of a button you can share information to a million people and reach them in seconds, you can comment and have your say. Life has changed because of the web 2,0; one is always able to get information anywhere; never mind the place and time;
Honestly, I have a lot of questions about this so-called Ebola virus, why is it only found in Africa? why are only blacks the majority who are dying of this deadly thing?
if you may recall Chris Brown once had an ugly comment about this Ebola virus which he said, 'it was a form of population control' meaning the black people are the ones who should suffer in this world because of the high population.

The social media has gone buzzing because of how the virus spread; and the fact that 90% of people who get infected of it die. the topic went viral on social media, almost everyone was talking about it!. The social media has played a very important role, we were able to be informed about the virus  symptoms and the countries which are affected by Ebola.
But the most important thing about media is getting information very fast and able to get free publicity

I would advise all companies to learn from world health organization @WHO to take part in using social media to reach the intended target audience and promote whatever one stands for.
without social media we would be depending on what the journalists tells us about  the Ebola, but now we don't need the government or heath care personnel to tell us abut Ebola; with social media we are able to be informed and share information to the public.

  1. Hey this Ebola disease is serious tragedy. Having to control a deadly disease so dangerous is just something else and oh yeah i agree with you about social media. It really plays a huge role in our lives.

    1. yeah, but i feel at the moment they are doing a good job, because the virus has not spread to all countries, it is still well controlled.

  2. Its a good thing that governments from all over the world, and big companies from the private sector played a role in preventing the spread of Ebola, imagine how deadly it would have been had it been allowed to spread!!

    1. Totally agree, I just wish they continue helping one another not only on the Ebola virus alone but also in all the other viruses and corruptions in the world; then the world would be a better place for all :)

  3. Aside from this question "why is it only found in Africa?", why were World powers slow to respond to this African tragedy?

    1. You know when one is not aware of the problem he/she does not entertain the problem, but because the powers of media a lot of people took it to twitter to talk about this deadly virus therefore world powers were able to get involved; so thanks to social media

  4. Africa is seen as a 'charity case' by the World powers and therefore they only feel obliged to react to such matters if it directly affects them or when it makes them look like saints to the rest of the world. Only when the virus reached their borders did they feel the urgency of the situation, by then the virus was almost getting out of hand in Africa.

  5. More information about the virus needs to be put out there, clearly there are many who are not quite familiar with ebola. Where viruses are, people automatically think that it comes from Africa all because most of the population is black. This is really insulting to our country

    1. its not enough but at least its making people aware of the virus on how one gets it and what the symptoms are.... therefore its really helping.

  7. I'm glad that Ebola was managed and to think how fast it destroys a persons body within a few days but then I noticed how people were educated about Ebola through social media and everyone was aware of the diseased.

  8. As much as matter can be addressed about, feels like social media isn't focusing much on it,the media is always distracted about other things, always focused on other international matters. Yes social media helps with getting it known out there but do you really think its helps to a point where all every media contact could do something to get it taken serious?

    1. i feel the role of social is not to help prevent but to help us know what is recently happening and knowledge about the virus therefore it is playing a big part in our lives.
